Daniela ha perso il treno

In this performance the artist wears an inflatable skirt that acts as an extension of her body, like an expelled placenta that drags her back to the ground and to her own limits. She moves along the platforms of Bologna Central Station, struggling in vain to board a departing train, while the loudspeakers announce that “Daniela has missed the train.” This missed departure evokes delay and failure, but also suggests that not boarding may mark the beginning of a different route, another possible direction.
