Il riposo dei miei piaceri / the rest of my pleasure

In the cloister of a deconsecrated church, at the bottom of a well, there is a vulva-shaped sculpture that I created by interweaving wool threads. Descending into the well is imagined as a return to a generative body, where earth and flesh coincide.
The performance unfolds in suspended time and seeks to reactivate a bodily memory of pleasure – not only sexual, but connected to care, warmth, and being held. Dolls appear as ambivalent figures: toys and surrogates, fragile bodies and projections of desire. Through this descent and this play, the work questions the ways in which pleasure, memory, and identity are inscribed on bodies and shaped by inherited narratives of origin and femininity.
