Anatomia Parallela II

Anatomia Parallela II continues and expands the trajectory initiated with “Anatomia Parallela I” del 1999, transforming the idea of a “bodily encyclopedia” into an installation format. The project consists of 15 drawings on paper framed, made with mixed media and typographic stamps, conceived as plates: pages unbound from the book and transferred into space, hung on the wall, for a visual and immersive experience.

In Anatomia Parallela II, the analysis and re-reading of the body move toward new areas and new anatomical “entries”: skin, synapses, and tongue. Composed of 15 drawings, the work unfolds through four different narratives, including “Analisi del lembo scucito”, “Germoglio cieco”, and “Poetica linguale”. Like an atlas or encyclopedic compendium, each plate contributes to a sensorial system of knowledge in which the organism is not a fixed model but a territory in constant rewriting, where emotions take on an anatomical presence and external transformations reshape the inner landscape of the body.
